How piano boosts SAT scores

According to a report by the College Board (Sources: The College Board, Profile of College-Bound Seniors National Report for 2000, 2001, and 2002), students who study the arts scored on average 25 points higher in both the verbal and non-verbal sections of their SATs. And on a list that looks even further into this group of students of the arts, “Music Study and Appreciation” students scored highest! Piano lessons activate and form connections between the left and right sides of a child’s rapidly-developing mind.
